Through The Oprah Winfrey
Foundation, she has developed schools to
educate thousands of underserved children
internationally. In 1997, Ms. Winfrey established
Oprah’s Angel Network, a public charity
launched on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,”
to inspire people to use their lives and
encourage them to make a difference in the
lives of others. To date, Oprah’s
Angel Network has raised more than $27 million,
with 100% of audience donations going to
non-profit organizations across the globe.
